Vinyl Neuerscheinung im August 2015: The Complete Columbia Collection von Simon & Garfunkel als sechsfach Vinyl Box.

Die sechs Schallplatten Alben stammen aus den Jahren 1964 – 1970.

Es sind halt die Alben aus der Zeit bei Columbia Records.
Nicht umsonst lautet der Titel der Vinyl Box „The Complete Columbia Collection“.

Im einzelnen sind es folgende LPs von Simon & Garfunkel:

Wednesday Morning, 3 AM.

Diese Album erschien 1964. Es enthält den, zumindest für mich, großartigsten Song des Duos. The Sound of Silence.

Spannend, dass hier ein Bob Dylan Song mit drauf ist. Die Ursache dafür mag sein, dass der Produzent der Platte Tom Wilson mit Bob Dylan schon erste Erfolge bei Columbia Records gefeiert hatte.

SOUNDS OF SILENCE

Das zweite Columbia Album von Simon & Garfunkel und wenn man den Quellen glauben darf, ist dieses Album wesentlich erfolgreicher gewesen als das erste Album von Simon & Garfunkel.
